Skills workshop 3: versatile actor dancers- Pina Baucsh
In this workshop I explored the unique art forms in the work created by the key practitioner Pina Bausch. One skill I explored was the use of expression. At one point I was blindfolded with my hands tied together whilst doing a phrases I created based on a key theme Pina used which was fear, I had to show expression in my body language and by the way I was moving. This made me think of different ways to show expression not just in my face, I feel I did this effectively by moving at different paces and different levels to show fear. This skill is taken from one of her dances 'café muller'. Another skill I explored was movement together. In this duo we put 4 counts of our phrases together to create our piece. We did this in unison. The little section before was us conveying emotion through our expressions I was showing care/love towards Honey and she was showing resentfulness towards me.
