We created a piece of our pied piper using the movements we created last lesson in smaller groups. The piece started with mine, Molly, Ella and Joe’s piece. At certain movements of the piece we would add the rest of the class in to add effect and emphasis on those parts. We used DV8’s styles of repetition, physical theatre and bits of dialogue. Most parts have the style of unison whether it was with just my group or the whole class. This requires lots of focus and patience as we all have a lot to learn and we are all learning each others pieces as well. We used a range of dynamics in our voices to add emphasis. In a certain part where we split into 2 groups,1 person says ‘I love my life’ and the other says ‘ I hate my life’. We use the volume of our voices to compete with each other and gradually get louder and louder. I feel there was good focus through the lesson as we were remembering the piece and learning the other pieces as well, I feel we listed to each other and added our own creativity into it.
