Pied piper exploration workshop 3

 

In lesson we made small sections for our Pied Piper work. In our groups we has information sheets where we had to put a script together from them. Our research sheets were about the Pied Piper being a 'musician marketer' who in modern day would be seen as an influencer. 

When creating our scripts we looked for things that stood out to us and caught our eye's. We wanted our piece to be easy to understand and make sure the audience knew what we were talking about therefore we used a conversational style whilst talking and involved each person in the group. 

We looked at DV8's 'can we talk about this' for inspiration. we used the idea of gestures when talking, this helps the audience understand what we are saying more as they can link the words to the gestures.

I feel we were fluent with the movements and communication to the audience. we were focused throughout, we had good diction and I felt we were clear with what we were saying. 

I feel we worked well together and listened to each other and all participated with our ideas.

I feel I had good expression with my face and voice however I feel I need to improve by learning the words and gestures even more.

Skills workshop 3: versatile actor dancers- Pina Baucsh

 In this workshop I explored the unique art forms in the work created by the key practitioner Pina Bausch.  One skill I explored was the use of expression. At one point I was blindfolded with my hands tied together whilst doing a phrases I created based on a key theme Pina used which was fear, I had to show expression in my body language and by the way I was moving. This made me think of different ways to show expression not just in my face, I feel I did this effectively by moving at different paces and different levels to show fear. This skill is taken from one of her dances 'café muller'. Another skill I explored was movement together. In this duo we put 4 counts of our phrases together to create our piece.
