Pied piper exploration workshop 4: duo's
In class we were in groups of two and had to create duos using the following words and imagine we were rat like.
- around
- escape
- fall
- follow
- lead
- repeat
- control
- entrapment
we created this piece by making sure our moves were fluent and together as a duo.
Me and molly made sure we used different levels in our work to show the contrast between our powers at times. I feel a lot of moves were elegant, however I feel when we did lifts and trust falls, they were very controlled and made us push our comfort zones a little bit.
we looked at some piece or work by Pina Bausch which were based on what we were trying to do. The work we looked at was quite animalistic which helped us by inspiring our with moves that could represent what we were trying to be. In another dance we looked at by Pina Bausch, the couple were trusting in one and other which I feel really shew me and Molly that we didn't need to worry about lifts but we just needed to trust each other.
I feel I have developed on my characterisation skills by using expression in my face. I also feel that my timing has improved and I have remembered the words more as we have been continuing to work on or piece. I feel as a group we have developed our vocals to and more expression into what we have been saying.
Personally, I feel in this workshop I have worked well in team work and duo work. I feel I listen to others and had a say in the work we have been doing. I feel I have adapted to this workshop and the idea of how social media plays the biggest role in our lives.
I feel I need to improve on my diction when speaking, although I know the words I lack confidence when saying them and therefor my diction isn't the greatest.
A good evaluation of rehearsal, you have clearly linked this to your application of skills to create an accomplished performance. You are also starting to link your creation of material to what you have learnt from the workshops and creating work linking to combined arts practitioners. well done
